Become a Mentor.
Mentor pairings are an integral component of the Ballet and Books program. Every week, mentors show up for their fellow dancer to spur their excitement for dance and literacy.
Empower your mentees with our cognitive research-driven teaching techniques. For our mentors, the experience can combine a passion for dance with various other academic interests: community service, cognitive science, or early childhood education.
Gain meaningful leadership experience. As you guide children through extracurricular programming, you will develop leadership skills that will help you grow personally and professionally.
Seize the opportunity to immerse yourself in your university’s surrounding community through true engaged learning.. Your volunteer efforts can better the lives of families residing near your school.
Serve as a role model for disadvantaged children. By serving as a mentor, you can help change what it looks like to be a dancer by shaping representation within the dance community.
